An elitist blog is born (the purpose of this blog)

Hello, TV-watchers!

There are a lot of different personalities out there that help people decide what they should watch: Some people watch what their coworkers are watching so they have something to talk about at work, some people watch whatever happens to be on so they can relax or pass the time, some people watch to live vicariously through the lives depicted on screen, and any number of other reasons and rationales. This blog is meant for people who watch TV because of the quality programming. It is meant to highlight the best programming out there so that you know what you should be watching.

My first instinct was to call myself (and possibly my target readers) a TV snob, however, that term has been used to describe people who have "cut the cord" on their television, declaring that there's nothing on but garbage. Instead, I chose the term TV elitist. I consider myself someone who looks down on the "garbage" but wouldn't dare throw the baby out with the bathwater. TV continues to be a valid medium for producing art. Quality programming exists that will not rot your brain out and the purpose of this blog is to point out such programming and help my readers decide if the shows I review are worth their time.

Happy viewing!
